Who we are
We are a warm and friendly congregation of many ages and walks of life. We are affiliated with the Global Methodist Movement; which is a conservative evangelical Christ centered, biblically based, Bible believing, Jesus loving, Spirit filled, movement of God. We are a small-town rural congregation. Most of our people live within the Lowville/Wattsburg area, although some travel from Erie, Millcreek, North East, Corry, Findley Lake and Union City. We are a family of believers in
Jesus within the Wesleyan theological branch of the Christian family tree. We are a church family that includes younger families with younger children (we don’t mind at all when babies cry or make noise during worship) as well as senior citizens and folks in between. We are a group of followers of the Lord Jesus Christ who are growing together in faith and in love with Jesus and with one another. Come visit us and expect to be made to feel you are one of the family, as we worship our God with real and passionate worship, biblical teaching and preaching, and heartfelt fellowship and friendship.
Our Pastor
Pastor Craig Laufer

In college, he joined a long running Bible study that was attended by both new Christians and mature Christians, as well as members of several denominations. This varied group of believers with different perspectives was a time of major growth in his Christian life. Over time, he felt called to teach, so he led a small group within his church.
When work led to a relocation to Erie, Craig and his wife Loretta looked for a new church. They found a little church at the side of the road in Lowville and fell in love with it. There were many opportunities to serve there, and Craig accepted more and more roles, eventually becoming the church Lay Leader in 2021. This led to occasionally filling in at the pulpit, which heightened his call to teach and preach.
About the same time that he retired from his secular job in 2024, doors opened in quick succession, leading him to take classes at Wesley Biblical Seminary and to be appointed as pastor of Lowville Living Water Church in 2025.
Pastor Craig is a firm believer in the inerrancy and infallibility and sufficiency of Scripture, and he preaches with a thoroughly Bible-based expository style.
When not preaching or studying, Pastor Craig enjoys reading fiction, playing with grandchildren, and perfecting the art of Dad Jokes – the highest form of humor he will ever achieve.
